Super Falcons Set To Boycott Opening Match At World Cup Over Bonus Saga

The Nigeria’s Super Falcons have agreed to boycott their opening 2023 World Cup match against Canada on Friday July 21,this publication understand.

Report emanated on Friday that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), had cited FIFA’s provision of a $30,000 (₦22.085 Million) payment to each player as a reason for canceling their bonuses.

This decision has sparked discontent among the players, who believe their rightful bonuses should not be compromised.

“We are ready to go as far as missing our first game against Canada on July 21 because this has to stop,” one of the senior players told Punch.
