"He Was A Man Of Peace, Justice And Accountability, Jonathan Pays Tribute tTo Yar'adua On 13th Anniversary

Former President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has eulogized his former boss, Late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.

GEJ, via his social media on Friday, described the late Katsina governor as a peaceful man.

Akewusolaf Blog reports that Jonathan was the Vice-President to late Yar’Adua as both men were elected President and Vice-President respectively in 2007.

However, on May 5 2010, President Yar’Adua was pronounced dead at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa and thus buried on May 6, according to Islamic rites.

Speaking on his 13th anniversary, Jonathan tweeted,

“On this day thirteen years ago , our nation lost a great and selfless leader President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua . He was a man of peace , justice and accountability.

“We look back with appreciation to God for the gift his life and his impact in our nation.

“President Yar’Adua was an exemplary leader , who lived above ethnic and religious sentiment. And his public life inspired many positively .

“Today we remember him for his life of service , dedication and commitment to a united and prosperous nation .

“We will continue to remember him for his developmental strides and his commitment to the peace and progress of Nigeria.GEJ”
